Walking Rice Pouch

Gluten-Free Dorm-Life - Meal Series

Dorm-friendly, super simple single-serve meals that require minimal equipment and time, perfect for a microwave, hot plate, or a small skillet! Here’s your Walking Meal Series for Dorm Living.


Ingredients:

  • Kitchen 88 Jasmine Rice pouch

  • 1/2 cup cooked tamari-ginger beef slices (pre-cooked or frozen)

  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetables

  • 1 tbsp tamari or gluten-free soy sauce


Instructions:

1. Cook the Beef:

  • If using pre-cooked beef: Place a few slices into the rice pouch with the rice.

  • If using raw beef: Microwave separately until fully cooked (about 1–2 minutes), then add to the rice.

2. Add Veggies:

  • Toss in frozen or pre-cooked vegetables.

  • Microwave everything together in the rice pouch for about 60–90 seconds, or until heated through. (Or microwave veggies separately if needed.)

3. Season & Stir:

  • Add tamari, or your favourite seasonings directly into the pouch.

  • Stir everything together right from the bag.

4. Eat & Enjoy:

  • Grab a fork and dig in - no bowl needed!
