Instructions

Build the Chalet Walls

  1. Lay out your S’moreables to determine the size of your chalet.

  2. Use royal icing or softened cream cheese as your edible glue.

  3. Attach 2 crackers to form square sides, for 4 "walls".

  4. Hold gently until set, or reinforce inside corners with gluten-free pretzel sticks.

  5. Let the structure dry or chill for 10–15 minutes in refrigerator to firm up.

Add the Roof

  1. Angle two crackers on top of the structure to form a peaked roof.

  2. Secure along the seam with icing or cream cheese.

  3. Add an extra layer of crackers if you want a thicker, more rustic roof.

Decorate With Charcuterie Flair

Now the fun begins—turn your chalet into an edible winter dream:

  • Meat Shingles: Slice salami and line the edges of the roof. Use cream cheese to adhere to roof.

  • Turkey Hill: Lay folded turkey slices to make a "hill" for tobogganing. Use a quarter bell pepper, and 2 pitted olives filled with cream cheese to make a tobogganing winter penguin.

  • Cheese Door and Windows: Cut cheese slices into small rectangles.

  • Herb “Wreaths”: Form a tiny rosemary circle and place above the door with a dab of cream cheese.

  • Pathway: Lay out a cheese boarder and fill with nuts and dried craberries in front of the door.

  • Snowy Touches: Make a snowman with mini cheese rounds held together with toothpicks and decorated with black sesame seeds and a prosciutto scarf.

4. Add Landscaping

  • Place rosemary sprigs upright as mini Christmas trees.

  • Use olives or tomatoes as front-yard décor.

  • Build a cheese chimney by stacking small cubes with cream cheese as glue.

5. Serve & Enjoy

Display your Gluten-Free Charcuterie Chalet as the centerpiece of your table, then dig in! Guests can pull off decorations piece by piece—no slicing required.

Tips for Success

  • Chill often: A quick chill helps everything set firmly.

  • Use thicker spreads for glue: Cream cheese works great for heavier pieces.

  • Mix textures: Crunchy crackers, creamy cheese, and savory meats make every bite exciting.

This adorable and delicious gluten-free charcuterie chalet is guaranteed to bring smiles and spark conversation. It’s festive, fun to build, and even more fun to eat—one cozy, crunchy bite at a time.
